Marianna Wright, representing Sapphire - Ruff Riders Track and Monroe Comprehensive in Georgia, won the girls 15-16 400-meter hurdles final in 59.88 seconds at the USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships at Hornet Stadium at Cal State Sacramento. Wright, entering her sophomore year, also contributed to a fourth-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay in 47.35 and a fifth-place effort in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:53.71.
